Meet Chief Glaser
Chief Mike Glaser is a life-long resident of Kenner who grew up on a ranch where the Esplanade Mall stands today. Law enforcement and service are family traditions for Mike — his great-grandfather, brother, stepfather and father-in-law were all police officers.
Decades of Service & Delivering Results
Chief Glaser began his career with the Kenner Police Department in 1990. Working his way up from Patrol Officer, Glaser was named “Top Cop” of the department and spearheaded the department’s first accreditation for good government, planning, professionalism and management.
Leading the Way
Glaser’s experience and “no drama” leadership skills resulted in a promotion to Deputy Chief & Commander of Operations. Today, as the twice-elected Chief of the Kenner Police Department, he oversees a $19.7 million budget and a 225-person workforce. Under Chief Glaser’s leadership, Kenner has been named among the safest cities in Louisiana.

I’ve dedicated my life to making Kenner a better place to live.
Being Mayor isn’t about the title or the status — it’s about running the City in a way that makes its citizens proud.
I know City Government can do better, and it would be an honor to continue serving the City that I love.
